The Findhorn Hinterland is a beautiful area of dunes and woodland situated east of the Village of Findhorn and north of the Park Ecovillage. It is owned by a number of different organisations with the charity the Findhorn Hinterland Trust taking a particular interest in its care and management through its practical conservation and educational work. There are regular tours, educational events and work parties if you would like to get involved.

Activities and projects: Woodland shelter, green burial area, memorial tree grove, edible woodland garden, ongoing management of nationally important lichen beds, creating firebreaks, educational presentations, chainsaw trainings, replanting.

Work parties are a great way to learn more about the Findhorn Hinterland while caring for it. By participating in a work party you will deepen your knowledge of local ecology and pick up some land stewardship skill.

A world renowned destination, located next to a nature reserve, Findhorn is known for its natural beauty and abundant wildlife. It is also a popular location for sailing and water-sports and is home of the Findhorn Foundation, an educational charity with its associated ecovillage.
